of Martial Arts

Hello everyone! I would like to welcome you to our website and thank you for stopping by.  You will find lots of information about the school and the people that work there. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions you may have. Otherwise, enjoy your visit! Have a great day!

Master William Booth

Warriors Academy of Martial Arts

Warriors Academy of Martial Arts was started in September 2007 in the basement of the Barneveld Congregational United Church of Christ. Our school is based on Traditional beliefs and values and we strive to live and express these beliefs in a positive and structured environment. Within the first six months, we went from five to thirty-five students, and three programs, and had to find a larger location to serve our students.  We are currently located in our new location in downtown Mount Horeb, at 126 1/2 East Main St.  Private lessons and seminars are available, as well as individual personalized training.

General Information

Our Concept:

Warriors Academy will teach Traditional Martial Arts and Self-Defense to any individual who is willing to learn.

What we teach:

Warriors Academy teaches a combination of Traditional TaeKwon-Do, Close Quarters Combatives (Self-Defense), and Chanbara (Padded Weapons Sparring). By offering these three items in conjunction with each other, we feel we offer a well-rounded easy to understand curriculum that can be adjusted as needed to meet each person’s individual needs.

Who we teach:

Warriors Academy is open to all students that are willing to train and put forth effort. We can offer training to people of all ages and body styles, dispelling the myth that Martial Arts is for the young and flexible.  We will work with you to make you feel comfortable and competent with your training. We can train anyone from age five to eighty-five with a custom individual plan that will ensure their success. If you or your child has special needs, we encourage you to come in.  We have extensive experience working with individuals with special needs and are willing to develop a program for your unique situation.

Feel free to contact Master William Booth with any questions you may have or to set up introductory and/or private lessons, are available several days of the week! Master William Booth can be reached at (608) 437-9262 or e-mail at

Courtesy (Ye Ui). To be thoughtful and considerate of others. Taekwondo students (both students and instructors) should be polite, and show consideration for others.

Integrity (Yom Chi). Integrity describes how you should interact with others. To be honest and good, earn respect and trust.

Perseverance (In Nae). This basically stands for your internal drive. Challenges allow us to improve ourselves and should therefore not be avoided.

Self-Control (Guk Ki). To have control of your body and mind. A Taekwondo student should practice controlling his actions and reactions.

Indomitable Spirit (Baekjool Boolgool). To have courage in the face of adversity. A Taekwondo student should never be dominated by, or have his spirit broken by another.

I will observe the tenets of Tae Kwon Do.

I will respect all instructors and senior ranks.

I will NEVER misuse Tae Kwon Do.

I will be a champion of freedom and justice.

I will help to create a more peaceful world.

Master William R. Booth IV Dan Tae Kwon Do, Shodan Yamashita Shorin Ryu Karate

Owner and Master Instructor

Master Booth is a Marine Corps Veteran who started training in Shorin Ryu Karate in 1999.

In 2007 Mr. Lovelace approached him about helping teach Tae Kwon Do which led to a crash course in World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) forms and curriculum.  He received his Tae Kwon Do black belt in April of 2008 and his Shorin Ryu black belt in October of 2008.

He currently holds a 1st Dan in Shorin Ryu and a 4th Dan in Tae Kwon Do.

Master Booth took over the school from Mr. Lovelace in July of 2018 and continues to enjoy teaching in downtown Mount Horeb WI.

Senior Instructor

Mr. Chad Moore III Dan Tae Kwon Do

Mr. Chad started International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) Tae Kwon Do under Master Mayo in Janesville at the YMCA when he was 24, where he earned his Blue Belt before taking a 13-year hiatus as family and work obligations became priority.  Mr. Chad started back in WTF Taekwondo with Warriors Academy in 2013, at the age of 37, and earned his Black belt in 2015 under Master Lovelace.

In 2019 Master Booth purchased the Dojo and promoted Mr. Chad to Head Instructor.  Mr. Chad enjoys everything about Taekwondo but, by far, teaching is his highest honor.

Mr. Chad has three children, two whom are black belts, Ms. Angel and Ms. Nadia, along with his wife Colleen, who in 2022, earned her blue belt, and his step-son Lucas.

Mr. Eric Patterson II Dan Tae Kwon Do

Senior Instructor

Eric Patterson joined Warriors Academy in his early forties hoping to resume the martial arts journey that he had begun more than 30 years earlier.

With children of his own and a passion for helping others, he is truly grateful for the opportunity to help the children of our community to grow their self-confidence and discipline.  In the years since joining Warriors Academy, Eric has found not only a meaningful way to help others, but has found a great way to stay motivated and in-shape.

Ms. Nadia Moore II Dan

Head Instructor - Little Warriors

Ms. Nadia started her TaeKwonDo journey at the age of 8. Over the course of her journey, she found she enjoys forms, sparing and working with weapons the most.

Ms. Nadia earned her ChoDan in February 2019, I Dan Black Belt in August 2019, and II Dan Black Belt in August 2020.

Ms. Nadia has been the Head Instructor for the Little Warriors program since 2019, when it was reinstated.  She enjoys working with her students and watching them learn and grow.

Jakob Kloess is 18 years old and has been studying Taekwondo for 8 years. He enjoys sparing, self-defense, and breaking. He is also an instructor who loves to teach and study the curriculum. When he is not studying Taekwondo he is an avid basketball player and cross country runner.

Master William  Michael (Mike) Moyle Tae Kwon Do

Grand Master Guy Lee Fields, Owner/Master Instructor Fields Self Defense Specialists

Master Fields serves as the Instructor and Master for both Master Moyle and Master Lovelace. His unique approach to the martial arts as a whole makes his teaching a valuable and welcomed insight at Warriors Academy of Martial Arts.

Master Fields is a High School Teacher in Madison, and also runs his own School Fields Self Defense Specialist in Madison WI. He has been training in the Marital Arts for over 30 years and is still competing as well as learning.

Master Chuck Lovelace Sr. IV Dan, Founder - Warriors Academy of Martial Arts

Master Chuck Lovelace founded Warriors Academy in 2007 starting in January in the basement of his Reserve Center teaching Soldiers children. Shortly afterward, he started a program in the basement of his Church with the help of his Wife Mrs. Jennifer, a program director, and his best friend Mr. William Booth as his Assistant Instructor.  The first class was held on September 11th 2007.  In 2018 Master Booth purchased the Dojo and continues to serve the Mount Horeb and surrounding area.

Mrs. Jennifer Lovelace II DAN, Co-Founder, Warriors Academy of Martial Arts

Mrs. Jennifer Lovelace spent 11 years as the program director and background controller for Warriors Academy. With the help of Master Booth and Mr. Schutz she kept Warriors running smoothly for the several years where Master Lovelace was gone for the Army. Mrs. Lovelace is a Second Degree Black Belt and was a Senior Instructor at Warriors Academy whose favorite classes include Basics, and Sparring. She has always been more comfortable in the background making sure all was running smooth than being in the limelight but is one of the most strict of Instructors when helping students prepare for testing or tournaments.
