Warriors Academy of Martial Arts was started in September 2007 in the basement of the Barneveld Congregational United Church of Christ. Our school is based on Christian beliefs and values and we strive to live and express these beliefs in a positive and structured environment. Within the first 6 months we went from 5 to 35 students and three programs and had to find a larger location to help our students grow. We currently run our school In the Historic Opera House in downtown Mount Horeb Wisconsin at 115 East Main St. Upstairs Suite C and D.Private Lessons and seminars are available as well as individual personalized training.

Try a complimentary class! New students are welcome to join at any time. Both youth and adult classes are available. Because the study of TaeKwon-do can become a long-term personal investment, it is recommended that you observe or participate in a class, talk with the instructors and then decide if the dojang (School) and style are right for you. Our Concept:

Warriors Academy will teach Traditional Martial Arts and Self Defense to any individual who is willing to learn, regardless of financial status. We will never turn away a student for an inability to pay, our costs are low and yours should be too!

 

What we teach:

Warriors Academy teaches a combination of Traditional TaeKwon-Do, Close Quarters Combatives (Self Defense), and Chanbara (Padded Weapons Sparring). By offering these three items in conjunction with each other we feel we offer a well rounded easy to understand curriculum that can be adjusted as needed to meet each person’s individual physical and biological limitations.

Warriors now also teaches a Cardio Kickboxing program geared for women who want to learn the basics of fighting and get in great shape!

With the new location we will be offering more classes as well in KenJuKido, Jiu-Jitsu, Tai-Chi, and Yoga so check back often to see if we have added these classes!

 

Who can we teach?

Warriors Academy is open to all students that are willing to train and put forth effort. We can offer training to people of all ages and body styles, dispelling the myth that Martial Arts is for the young and flexible; we will work with you to make you feel comfortable and competent with your training. We can train anyone from 4 to 84 with a custom individual plan that will ensure their success. Special Needs individuals are encouraged to come in to, we have extensive experience working with several types of special needs and are willing to develop a program for your unique situation.
