About the event

This Friday 7-1 we will have Master Sergeant (ret) Calvin Castleberry at the dojo to work with our students on practical self defense!  We encourage everyone to attend this class Friday as a rare opportunity to learn from a Special Forces Green Beret!

We will still have regular class times!  Come ready to learn!  Below is A quick layout of Master Sergeant Calvin’s bio.  Look forward to seeing everyone!

Retired Master Sergeant with over twenty years of Special Forces experience.  Instructed at the US Army’s only Survival Evasion Resistance Escape (SERE) school, teaching SOF soldiers how to fashion and implement improvised weapons, execute sentry takedowns, and disarmed immediate threats.  Graduate of the Lone Operator Course which is designed to enhance SF personnel’s defense profile down range in a semi permissible to non-permissible environment, ie conflict zone to war zone, as well as sudden events like a coup d’ etat.  With a career spanning 26 years, 4 combat deployments, and several hot deployments to various nations, he is experienced and ready for you come ready with questions. This is not a one way demonstration, this is a venue for a two way conversation to shake out your questions of “will this work?” - “is there a different way?” - “what would you do?”  It will be a time to add tools to your toolbox, not the “best” tactic…because EVERY situation is different and there is no BEST solution 100% of the time.
